PKMN-Crossing App - CLAIRENCE

- NAME: Clairence Ross
- NICKNAME: Claire is the most obvious, but previous peer-groups used to taunt her with the name ‘Bossy-Rossy’.
- AGE: 24

- HOMETOWN: Nimbasa, Unova
- HISTORY: Growing up in Nimbasa city, one would expect the residents to either work in entertainment or be drawn to it for the entertainment. That wasn’t exactly the case for Clairence’s Archeops parents. Both were strict bureaucrats working at a high-end technology company. The only reason they had to settle in Nimbasa was because of the amount of power to run the entertainment city was high and improved technology was constantly needed to keep the city as up-to-date as possible.

Naturally, Clairence got the affinity for the entertainment business. With the gift of a voice, the grace of a performer, and the poise of an entertainer all matched with her instinct to learn, Claire would make her small moments of fame and couple bucks by street performing. Whether it be guitar, vocals, or street magic, young Clairence found her joy and calling through giving the people a show and causing them to feel emotion.

Claire’s parents never approved of her likeness to the entertainment district. They often found it to be a waste of time and an embarrassment for their daughter to be parading about making a spectacle of herself. They had kept Claire in a prestigious private school to further her studies and try to steer her away from the arts, but it often just drove her further to wanting to continue with it and also topped off with the intellect to make it happen.

Upon graduation, Clairence left school and her parent’s household to try and make it as a performer. She often took to the streets on a daily basis and booked gigs at coffee houses or lounges whenever she could, just making enough to pay for her basic rent and food, but not enough to live comfortably. Seeking something more and seeing that her Nimbasa home wouldn’t cut it, Clairence traveled to Pokette in hopes of becoming their new household name in entertainment.

- HOBBY: Composing (namely with the guitar) or learning magic tricks.
- JOB: Runs the Rock Shop music store. Will do street performances on random intervals.
- FAVORITE FOOD: Grilled fish of any kind (but it MUST be cut up into small pieces!)
- FAVORITE BERRY: Custap Berry (40 sweet)
- CATCHPHRASE: ‘Skeh!’ Often produced with a raspy avian tone. More chance to be emitted with strong emotions attached.
- ACCESSORIES: Nothing to note considering her plumage is often too thick to wear most accessories (namely around her wrists), but will wear Rock Shop memorabilia or Rock Shop accessories for promotional purposes. Some of these tend to be collars or chokers underneath the large puff of feathers, a cuff or band of sorts around her upper arms, large fake glasses or sunglasses, or a hair accessory or beading of sorts.

- PERSONALITY: With a bold nature, Clairence isn't afraid to take risks or tell it like it is. She believes in pushing her own boundaries and that nothing is impossible. However, pushing these boundaries sometimes pushes others as well - Clairence doesn't know exactly when to stop and came come off as an annoying pest. Telling her this up-front though will cause this avian to ruffle her feathers and give back choice words of anger and spite.

You can't tell Clairence 'no'. If you tell her not to put her hand in the cookie jar, she will do it anyways. If you tell her not to say something, she'll say it. It's another example of boundaries being pushed that affect others.

Aside from this dominating and most obvious trait, Clairence isn't too bad of a person if you can get past the exterior and are not the strict lawful type. She's relatively kind, but not exactly generous (don't expect any discounts or freebies from her!). She is willing to hear you out unless your idea is completely stupid in her mind. It takes the patient and compassionate individual to deal with this Archeops.

Even though her traits are less than desirable, there is something about Clairence that draws people in. If it's not her risky side, her blunt attitude, her hot temper, her colourful plumage, or her tiny waist, then it's her passion for entertaining. Once on the subject of the arts, Clairence becomes drawn in, completely at ease with her guard down and a softer, wistful side of this rough bird comes free for all to see.
